Christopher Schneider (MASc Candidate)

Christopher graduated from the University of Calgary in 2016 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Currently he is researching flame flashback in turbulent premixed swirl combustors. Chris’s research involves using laser measurement techniques such as PIV and PLIF in a model combustor to detect flame characteristics in hope of being able to correlate these characteristics to statistical rates of critical behaviours. The goal is to more rapidly test for such behaviours so as to allow further pushes to be made towards reliable high efficiency turbine engine operation.
